New Years Prep Sneak Peek

I love getting dolled up for the New Year. My actual evening usually pales in comparison to the prep. The dress, the shoes, the jewelry, the nails, the hair and the make-up… ooooohhhh! (I’m hype) I jump at any excuse to get dressed up now especially since I’m usually in a pair of sweat pants or my all black work clothes. Ugh. Anywhoo, here are some pictures of my pre game…

Nails

Ain’t really my style but I figured I try something new New Years. (Get it?) The polish is a lot cuter than it appears in the picture. It picks up any and every light that hits it. Shinin’.

I blew my hair out last night because my curls have been looking extra drunk. The poor things need a little break. It’s a shame too because I had a cute updo in mind for them. damn, Damn, DAMN! (In My Momma Payne Voice). We’ll see how these flexi rods do on blown out hair. I’m not taking them out until the last second. 

I’ll take pictures of the final product! Have a Happy New Year!!! P.S. This Canon G12 is all that.

Whoot Whoot! We Have A New Camera!

Yeah Boi! I just invested in a Canon Powershot G12 and I am very happy about it. I still don’t really know what the hell I’m doing on it but youtube is teaching me tons of handy dandy tricks. If you’re looking for a camera with great image quality and HD video but you don’t want to invest in an intimidating DLSR then the G12 is the way to go. Below is the video review that sold me.
So get ready. Our Pictures and Videos Just Got Upgraded!

Rodo Set Updo Video Tutorial

Finally, I finished the video of the rod set updo. The only things you will need are: curl rods, a curl defining cream or hold, water, bobby pins and a cute hair accessory of your choice.
*FYI I dipped my fingers into a bowel of water, wetting my hair a bit before I applied the flex rod. I also dabbed a bit of Beautiful Texture’s Curl Defining Pudding to each strnd which eliminated frizz.
